In our efforts to create a friendly atmosphere and healthy child behaviour, we are keen on holding regular gatherings, outings, open days and birthday parties where our girls can have their share of a sound social life.

Joint Birthday Party on Thursday 18 September 2003
We held a joint birthday party for Fayrouz, Nourhan, Nahed, Hoda and Omneya on Thursday the 18^th of September. It was a joyful occasion enjoyed by friends and family alike. More pics are available on the Yahoo amalnagroup web site http://groups.yahoo.com/group/amalnahome/

Trip – Kanater El Khayreyya, September 2003
We rented a bus for a day out to Kanater where the girls were able to enjoy fresh air in the countryside and they had their first experience of riding donkeys. More pics are available on the Yahoo amalnagroup web site http://groups.yahoo.com/group/amalnahome/

Open Day on Friday 10 October 2003
Our Second Open Day was a success where an excellent Team Spirit prevailed. We would especially like to thank all those who gave of their time and effort to make this day such a huge success. The Highlights of the Day, were the mouth watering baked goods and the Abu Mazen Shawerma.

“Kahk El Eid” November 2003
Staff and Volunteers have been involved in making Kahk for the benefit of the children to celebrate the recent Feast.

Outings at Shell Club, Heliopolis 2003
The children have enjoyed outings to the Shell Club on a weekly basis, where they have been provided with the opportunity to run wild in beautiful surroundings. In summer they also enjoyed splashing about in inflatable swimming pools, kindly provided by the Club. Joint Birthday Party on Friday 6 February 2004

Pets - now at our Home since February 2004
The children enjoy endless hours of playing with their kindly donated pets, including 2 budgies, 2 guinea pigs and a tortoise.

Open Day on Friday 12 March 2004
Our last Open day was highly successful. We had a wider display of tables and the baked good were as delicious as ever and, as the saying goes, ‘sold like hot cakes’.

Nursery, March 2004
Since 2^nd of March, five of the girls have been attending Nursery on a daily basis from 9-1. Due to this facility, they have become a lot more friendly having been taught to play in a group which is an important part of childhood. The other girls are due to follow at the end of the summer.

Orphan Day, 5 April 2004
The Shell Club has generously celebrated this event with our girls. It was a joyful occasion, enjoyed by the girls and friends alike.

Trip to Wonderland Funfair, on 19 April 2004 & 22 May 2004
The girls have enjoyed spending few hours playing at the funfair with their surrogate mothers and some of Amalna Home friends.

Trip – Kanater El Khayreyya, May 2004
Once again the girls enjoyed fresh air and the peace and quiet of the countryside, where they were allowed to run around freely.

Trip to Fayed on Friday 4 June 2004
The girls have enjoyed spending a day out with their surrogate mothers and some of Amalna Home friends at Fayed where they have been provided with the opportunity to run wild in natural surroundings and build sand castles.

Outings at Shell Club, Heliopolis on 5 and 12 June 2004
The Shell Club has kindly invited our girls to enjoy spending a day out in a warm and friendly atmosphere where they can run around freely and safely.

Joint Birthday Party on Friday 10 December 2004
We plan to hold a birthday party for all the girls Nourhan, Fayrouz, Nahed, Hoda, Omneya, Kholoud, Nadia and young Nourhan on Friday, the 10th of December, between 6-9 pm If you are interested in joining us, please contact us to know where the Party will be held.

Open Day on Friday 11 March 2005
We wish to offer our heart felt appreciation and thanks to all members who contributed to the huge success of our last Open Day which raised an impressive amount towards the Girls’ Savings Accounts. We would be pleased for you to grace us with your presence once more, on our forthcoming Open Day, to be held on Friday, 11 March, 2005 from 12 noon till 6pm.
